Known as an Elk in Europe, the Moose is the largest of the deer family. They live in the Northern forests and are particularly adapted to colder temperatures. They live on newly grown leaves and tips of twigs. Each year during their breeding season they lose a pair of antlers and grow new ones. Mostly they stay away from people but during their breeding season, they have been known to charge people.
