The Vulture lives all over Europe, North Africa, and Asia. The bird of prey prefers living in open landscapes, on cliffs or in gorges. It has reddish-brown plumage, grey-black wings, and an almost featherless neck with a ring of white around it. Vultures are particularly important to the ecosystem in that they eat dead animals that could otherwise spread disease.
